Return a massacre that killed (more or less based on the latest information) 26 people at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., about 65 miles northeast of New York City, Friday, December 14.
Obama, the U.S. President is very sorrowful, he was seen several times wiped away tears and struggled to compose himself while expressed his sorrow for those who died in the massacre.
“The majority of those who were killed today were children, kids cute little between the ages of five to ten years,” Obama said. “Life stretched before them, birthdays, graduations, weddings, children of their own.”
Breathing heavily, several times wiping tears from the corners of his eyes, when he delivered his first reaction to the killing 26 people, including 20 children, in the press room of The White House in Washington.
He confirmed, he reacted “Not as president, but as someone else, as a parent. Destroyed our hearts today, for parents and grandparents, brothers and sisters of the little ones, and for those families who lost. As country, we have been through this too many,” Obama said.
He ordered the raising of the flag at half-mast at the White House, government buildings, and at the U.S. military facility in honor of the victims of the shooting at the school.
What about the law on stricter gun control? Until now still be warm and fierce debate, the pros and cons.
There was silence at the White House, which is usually boisterous press conference and only interrupted by the sound of the camera when he stopped and managing emotions.
